Bob ... Stewart ... tries ... yet ... again ... to ... sell ... a ... game ... involving ... two ... people ... giving ... clues ... one ... word ... at ... a ... time ... to ... a ... third ... person. In this iteration, there are four celebrities and two contestants. Like most other Bob Stewart pilots, it was done on the primo cheap and it shows. If he would had just spent a little more, he probably could have made a lot more.
The main game involved the first team establishing a time to beat by getting four correct answers guessed by the middle people with the people at the end giving clues one word at a time. The other team then tries to beat the time. Curiously, the teammates do not change positions after each round. For example, in the first game, both John Ritter and Debralee Scott were the guessers for all four games. The first team to win three rounds moves on to the "Hot Spot" for a chance at $5,000.
Bob Stewart usually recycles bonus games from other pilots before one works, but I haven't seen this one in any other game. It's a shame, because it's a pretty good one. There are three categories and nine letters. Player #1 picks a category, player #2 picks a letter, and player #3 tries to guess a word in that category that stats with the letter. Then Player #3 and #1 reverse roles, and this continues until all 9 letters are removed or the 60 second clock expires. If a team fails to get all nine letters, the civilian contestant receives $100 per letter.
As much as Bob Stewart was infatuated with the alternate guessing thing, trying it until he got it on Go in 1983. This show could have sold, if it didn't look so cheap (the set looked just like Pyramid) and the sing-song clue giving didn't sound so annoying.
