Admit it. You're in the waiting room, you probably should be reading Time, Forbes or even Highlights, but you act like a goofus and grab People, because you don't have to pay for it and nobody knows you in the room anyway. But now, with People on TV, you're in luck, because now you don't even need to read to get your celebrity fix! Jimmy Cefalo, former Miami Dolphin wide receiver, is your host:

The first round is called "Cover Stories" and starts with a tossup question among the players relating to a People cover. Correctly identifying the person earns the contestant $100. Then, four questions are asked about the subject of the cover for $100 each. There were three sets of these "Cover Stories" questions. After this round, they went into commercial with a "Flashback" question, where the players earned another $100 for correctly identifying a celebrity from a young photo.
The next round, "Star Tracks" each player picked a celebrity off the video wall. They continued to answer questions that went off the track of that celebrity a la The Kevin Bacon Game for $100 each. If they couldn't answer the question, the other players could jump in to grab the $100. Each player got to play one "Star Track". Again, there was a written question going into commercial, this time called "Chatter", in which a player had to identify the speaker of a quote.
The final round was a speed round, where there were three minutes of rapid fire questions. Questions in the first minute were worth $100, the second $200 and the third $300. The leading money winner at the end of this round went on to the bonus game. Going into this final commercial, "Tribute", one of those feel-good stories was profiled you see towards the back of the magazine was profiled.
In the bonus game, the player was shown three people on a video wall, and given a question. The player would then pick the personality who matched the question given by the host, and would then see that person replaced with someone else. If a player correctly identified six celebrities in 60 seconds, $10,000 was added to their winnings. An equal match of money was also donated to the subject of the story told before the last commercial break.
Nothing bad about this game, but nothing excellent about it either. Jimmy Cefalo is OK as a host, not objectionable but not really that exciting either. Also, with all of the prep needed for this show, with the extra pictures on such a small set of available questions, this show would have been very hard to keep up five-a-week.
